Academics
Faculties
The University is organised into faculties, each taught by a dean and made up of departments. Five of them belong to the College of Medical Sciences; the rest are university faculties.
How the University is organised
A faculty is the academic unit that owns a degree programme: it is headed by a dean, it is made up of departments, and it is responsible for the teaching, the examination and the award. The College of Medical Sciences groups five of the nineteen faculties; the others report directly to the University.
Five faculties below belong to the College of Medical Sciences. The rest are listed here as university faculties. Each faculty’s own page carries its departments, its programmes and the dean’s welcome note.
